Bought as a present but I had to take a look!
Very pleased with the black & white pictorial book, with informative captions and an introduction covering the history of the depot. Photos cover from mid-1950s to the sad closure and demolition from 1964. Includes sample diesels eg. Blue Pullman and railcars that occupied a separate shed, and a diagram on the steam shed from 1953. I visited OOC from 1959 onwards several times a year, so the book covers my own memories and has several photos in between. Includes photos most classes that used OOC, and of empty stock and other trains on the main line outside the depot. 5 star in my opinion.
A very nice reminder of OOC late 50's and early 60's. Sadly, not too much about the architecture and inside shots, but worthwhile never the less.
A very interesting book covering the subject. The only complaint being the pictures are printed a bit on the dark side.
very well writen & great photos ect.....
